Help Us Grow by Sharing Your CMSS Experience!

As a non-profit organization, Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) does much more than provide essential senior services: we create a home and a community for residents, clients, and family members to thrive in. We have helped thousands of individuals since our inception and continue to support, improve, and enhance the quality of life for older adults of all backgrounds by empowering them to live with dignity and respect.

The roots of Chicago Methodist Senior Services can be traced back to 1898, when Mrs. E.E. Hartwell rented a six-room flat in Chicago to provide housing for elderly women in need. Over the years, we’ve expanded our community and residential services to better serve the changing needs of the people we serve. Take a look at our evolution:

Hartwell Place is a Chicago-based memory care community offering a 24-hour nurse on staff, a high care partner to resident ratio, and engaging arts and music programming.
